Sky News contributor Caleb Bond says what we saw today from Will Smith at the Oscars was “utterly bizarre”.
It comes after Will Smith slapped Chris Rock live at the Oscars after the comedian made a joke about Jada Pinkett-Smith.
The stand-up comedian suggested Pinkett-Smith, who is bald due to alopecia, would be making an appearance in “G.I Jane 2”, a reference to the movie featuring actress Demi Moore, who shaved her head for the role.
“I mean, he was sitting there not five seconds before, laughing at the joke that’d been cracked by Chris Rock about his wife Jada,” Mr Bond told Sky News host Jenna Clarke.
“And then he just sort of all of a sudden presumably turns around and sees this dirty look on Jada’s face and decides the best course of action is to stand up, storm on stage, and deliver an open face slap to Chris Rock.
“I mean, that is a man who is not thinking straight; for God’s sake, if you can’t take a joke, you’re probably in the wrong industry.”
