Sixth Omicron case ‘likely’ in NSW


A man in his 40s is expected to be confirmed as New South Wales’ sixth case of the Omicron variant after initial testing “strongly indicated” the returned traveller contracted the virus. 

The man who lives in Cabramatta in Sydney's South-West has tested positive to Covid-19 after spending six months in Nigeria. 

He is symptomatic but fully vaccinated and had arrived on the same flight as a number of other cases last Thursday.
