Emergency services have been called to a road smash at Lichfield in South Waikato (file photo).
A road smash in South Waikato involving multiple vehicles has reportedly left occupants seriously injured.
The crash happened on State Highway 1 at Lichfield, between Domain Rd and Pinedale Rd, and was reported about 9.20pm on Wednesday night.
Early reports indicate there are serious injuries.
A stretch of SH1 near the crash site has been closed and traffic diversions are in place.
