Qantas CEO Alan Joyce to make significant international travel announcement

Qantas CEO Alan Joyce is set to make a significant announcement on international travel alongside Prime Minister Scott Morrison and NSW Premier Dominic Perrottet at Sydney Airport on Friday.

It follows moves by New South Wales and Victoria's governments to allow fully vaccinated overseas arrivals to enter their respective jurisdictions without undergoing mandatory quarantine from November 1.

It prompted Qantas to put international flights on sale, reconnecting Sydney to the UK and Los Angeles.

However, Queensland Premier Annastacia Palaszczuk says her state will not grant eased entry requirements until it reaches 90% double dose.
