NSW businesses concerned over lack of support from government

New South Wales continues to outperform the current Omicron outbreak, with case numbers and hospitalisation numbers all tracking down, but businesses are still concerned with a lack of support as the state faces major debt.

It comes as new figure reveals foot traffic has fallen by 39 per cent in Parramatta’s CBD compared to before the pandemic.

The report by Google also shows movement around retail and work hubs are down 51 per cent in North Sydney, 45 per cent in Waverley, 22 per cent in Blacktown, and 13 per cent in Penrith.

The highest by far is in Sydney CBD, with movement down by 61 per cent.

There is pressure on Premier Dominic Perrottet to reveal his rescue packages, which could include support grants, tax subsidies and waivers and look similar to the Job Saver scheme.
