Liberal Party allows MPs ‘to vote in accordance with their views’


Home Affairs Minister Karen Andrews says the Liberal Party allows MPs to vote in accordance with their views.

A handful of Liberal MPs crossed the floor to vote with Labor on improving protections for transgender students.

“The views that they expressed actually weren’t the views of the government but they were still at liberty to put their views and to vote accordingly,” Ms Andrews told Sky News Australia.
