An Idaho state trooper said he took a “leap of faith” to catch a rescued cat and stop it from running into a snowy forest, with video showing the athletic moment posted to Facebook on February 3. Trooper Enrique Llerenas found the cat and two dogs inside a van that was occupied by two people found to be in possession of “multiple controlled substances,” police said. The pair were booked on drug charges. While the dogs were “as friendly as they could be” as Llerenas waited with them for a shelter worker to arrive, the cat had “other ideas.” Video shows “Mr Kitty” making a run for the nearby forest, and Llerenas immediately jumping into a pile of snow to catch the cat. The trooper can be heard saying, “I liked you, but not anymore, kitty” as he returns the furry fellow to safety. Credit: Idaho State Police via Storyful
