Highlights from Florida basketball’s loss to Alabama

Florida basketball came out of the gates looking freshly rejuvenated after a two-week layoff that included a COVID-postponed game against the Ole Miss Rebels last week, but then went ice cold coming out of the halftime locker room to drop its SEC-opening game against the Alabama Crimson Tide on Wednesday night, 83-70.

The Gators took held a three-point lead after 20 minutes of play but the Tide (No. 20 Coaches Poll, No. 15 AP Poll) proved to be too much in the second half, outhustling the Orange and Blue on its home court in what has become too common of a scene for this team. The good news is that center Colin Castleton looks like he has got his groove back, but it was not nearly enough to survive the Tide’s onslaught.

Here is a look at some highlights from Wednesday night’s game played in the O’Connell Center.
