‘A lot of excitement’ as Melbourne businesses prepare for reopening

Ladro TAP co-owner Sean Kierce says there’s a lot of excitement in Melbourne amid reopening, with many wanting to make bookings for the restaurant.

“There’s a lot of excitement, as soon as there was the announcement on Sunday that we would be opening this Friday, our phones did go crazy, lots of emails, people wanting to book, sort of straight away,” Mr Kierce told Sky News Australia.

He said there are still many restrictions and capacity limitations so reopening will be a gradual process.

“Slowly and surely, but I think everyone’s chomping at the bit – they want to get out to the shops, they want to go and get their hair cut, they want to go and visit their friends.

“I think the general public are really keen to get back into a normal way of life which we haven’t had for a long time.”
